With $1.3 billion of capital raised in 2021, B.C.’s life sciences sector has never been more robust.
In fact, B.C. is Canada’s fastest-growing life sciences sector, employing roughly 20,000 people at over 2,000 companies. And according to BioTalent Canada’s 2021 National Report, the sector will likely require 65,000 additional workers by 2029.

creation.
This week Life Sciences BC is bringing together life sciences leaders from academia, research, health institutions, government, and industry at the Access to Innovation Conference to discuss emerging trends, innovation, economic impact, translational science, and policies to advance the sector.
The day long event will feature 40+ live sciences sector-leading speakers on topics ranging from immuno-engineering, precision medicine, clinical trials, IP strategy, vaccines, the talent pipeline, patient care, securing the future of BC’s sector, and more.
The Access to Innovation Conference takes place on Thursday, February 23rd at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.
