Vancouver’s VoltSafe has been selected as a finalist for EPiC 2023, qualifying VoltSafe for up to a USD $5 million investment by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) Venture Fund, EPiC’s corporate venture arm.
EPiC 2023 is a unique, worldwide competition offering global startups the chance to expand their footprints into Asia. As Hong Kong’s biggest innovation ecosystem, it provides the vast business opportunities aimed at growing the most disruptive startups.
VoltSafe will be centre-stage in front of over 1,000+ regional investors and over 300+ corporate partners in EPiC’s ecosystem for the elevator pitch competition’s Grand Finale on April 28th. Representing VoltSafe in Hong Kong will be the company’s CEO, Trevor Burgess, and CTO, Sanad Aridah.
VoltSafe stood out in its initial entry specifically in the PropTech category with its Home Outlet solution amongst applications from over 50 countries around the world. PropTech includes but is not limited to sustainability, smart environment and construction, all of which can benefit greatly from VoltSafe’s patented technology.
“VoltSafe technology has the capability of advancing adoption of smart plugs and electrification while effectively supporting demand side energy management. Our disruptive technology powers the future of how the world connects and controls electricity, ensuring we’re well-positioned to successfully compete at EPiC 2023. We’re excited to showcase VoltSafe tech on an international stage at the Grand Finale,” commented VoltSafe CEO, Trevor Burgess.
Each of the finalists will be flown to Hong Kong, all expenses paid, to deliver their respective pitches in-person to a panel of judges comprised of renowned investors, entrepreneurs and professionals in Asia.
VoltSafe was named a CES 2023 Innovation Awards Honoree for not one, but two of its innovative product solutions: VoltSafe Home and VoltSafe Marine.
