Following a $3 million seed round led by Chicago Ventures in 2022, Vancouver’s Olive is bringing artificial intelligence technology to the forefront of its business.
Co-founded by Dan Harrison and Chris Heard in 2018, the Techstars 2020 alum transforms the buying process by moving customers away from archaic RFP/RFI processes to a fully agile evaluation.
And now, with an all-encompassing integration of AI, Olive “supercharges and expedites teams’ internal technology decision-making processes,” according to a statement from the startup.
By typing in a simple prompt such as, “I am a CFO at a large healthcare company, and we currently struggle with XYZ challenges,” for example, Olive AI automatically generates project scaffolds, including suggested requirements and use cases.
“At Olive, we believe that AI is essential to the future of this process,” explains Heard.
When AI is combined with effective team collaboration and human insight, Heard says, “it becomes a total game-changer for businesses.”
“With this approach, companies can make top-notch IT decisions in a flash and at a fraction of the cost,” the founder believes. “It’s all about embracing the best of both worlds—harnessing AI’s power alongside the collective intelligence of your team—to drive unparalleled success.”
Digital transformation is a “continuous process that requires a long-term vision and commitment to change,” Olive notes. It is an ongoing journey that involves adapting to new technologies, reimagining business processes, and empowering employees with new skills and tools.
An AI-Powered Digital Transformation Coach can guide your organization through continuous improvement of digital initiatives that drive change, the startup says.
Identifying all current, future, and potential needs builds a deep understanding of the organization’s overarching digital transformation goals. Beyond a Transformation Coach, Olive’s AI-powered surveys facilitate a collaboration process, helping continuously capture and catalog feedback from key organizational stakeholders.
In addition, Project managers can discover, research, and capture organizational needs and identify and collaborate with the stakeholders and end-users to refine and prioritize the detailed requirements that will meet those needs, according to the company.
“We want to help your organization continuously improve digitally by identifying any overlap in company-wide opportunities or projects that will solve long-term goals for the organization,” Olive states.
A project stages dashboard lets you input all digital initiatives to implement over coming years. This provides visibility to an organization’s “Digital Journey” and allows the organization to discover overlapping, intertwined, or complementary opportunities and solve recurring challenges.
“From day one, Olive wanted to create an AI consultant with no bias toward anything other than finding out what is needed to move the business forward,” stated Heard. “Integrating AI into our platform and data has realized this vision.”
