Vancouver-born Eventbase was ready-to-rocket in 2019 before a global pandemic halted momentum.
In 2022, the BC startup experienced a “resurgence” as in-person events returned to North America.
Cofounder Jeff Sinclair noted at the time that revenue was accelerating and the growing firm was hiring.
“Our customers have been excited to return to in-person events and attendees have too,” Sinclair stated last year. “There is something special about live events.”
One of the largest technology conferences on the continent is Dreamforce, which takes over downtown San Francisco each September.
Dreamforce is hosted by tech stack titan Salesforce, which Eventbase gained as a new customer in 2022, helping spark a post-Pandemic regrowth.
The Salesforce-Eventbase partnership was in full swing at Dreamforce this year, as the US tech giant utilized the Canadian company’s platform to power its event app.
“With a short timeframe to deliver, the team was able to innovate and create a mobile app experience unlike anything we’ve produced before,” stated J.J. Mumick, who serves as vice president of sales and customer experience at Eventbase. “I’m extremely grateful to be working with such talented individuals alongside our partners at Salesforce to create true magic.”
“So excited to continue our partnership developing the official Salesforce Events App for Dreamforce,” added Sinclair, who called those working on the app a “Dream team.”
“An amazing team is everything,” agreed Salesforce.
Dreamforce 2023 saw 40,000 attendees descend on San Francisco for what Salesforce described as the largest AI event of the year.
