Safe Software is closing out a strong year with the addition of one more feather in its cap.
The Vancouver-area tech anchor was recently named a Niche Player in Gartner’s 2024 Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools, an annual evaluation of data software vendors.
It was Safe’s fifth time receiving such recognition.
“To us, this recognition by Gartner is an acknowledgement to the dedication of our team and the loyalty of our global [Feature Manipulation Engine] community,” stated Don Murray, cofounder and chief executive officer of Safe Software.
Headquartered in Surrey, Safe provides solutions that empower people and enterprises to unlock the full potential of their information, especially geo-spatial data. The BC firm’s flagship product is the Feature Manipulation Engine, or FME. With FME’s tools, users can process and convert data, creating workflows that extend the reach of data integration.
Counting more than three decades of profitable business under its belt, Safe is still growing today.

Entering 2025, the B.C. tech firm says that more than 25,000 organizations use Safe’s software worldwide.
Why? The company’s expertise in geospatial data sets it apart as a platform for unlocking the power of location-based insights, Murray believes.
“At Safe Software, we believe data is a transformative asset, and our mission is to ensure businesses can access and integrate it seamlessly,” said Murray, an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.
“Our unique Any-AI approach, combined with FME’s unmatched All Data integration capabilities, enables organizations to uncover deeper insights and turn their data into powerful drivers of meaningful change,” he added.
