A new health initiative aims to change the way Canadians approach aging.
Victoria-based MyHealthspan has launched Canada’s first all-in-one, at-home longevity program, designed to help people extend their healthspan and avoid years spent managing chronic illness.
Unlike traditional longevity programs that focus on in-clinic blood tests, MyHealthspan’s Every Day Longevity Program provides subscribers with quarterly Longevity Kits, assessing metabolic, cognitive, and genetic health from home. Participants also receive a proprietary Longevity Score™—a personalized metric tracking their future health trajectory—and one-on-one longevity coaching to translate results into actionable steps.
“At MyHealthspan, we believe longevity isn’t just about adding years to your life—it’s about making those years vibrant, energetic, and fulfilling,” said Dr. Zia Poonja, co-founder and chief medical officer. “We want to help people take control of their health without relying on in-clinic visits or fragmented solutions.”
The program integrates blood biomarker analysis, DNA testing, continuous glucose monitoring, and cognitive evaluations to provide a holistic health picture. Unlike competitors focused on annual bloodwork, MyHealthspan offers a broader approach, including female-specific health concerns such as estrogen and progesterone balance.
MyHealthspan was co-founded by Dr. Zia Poonja (Chief Medical Officer), Rex Farrand (Chief Executive Officer), and Bradley Jawl (Chief Operating Officer), a team of healthcare and technology professionals with over 40 years of combined experience. Their mission is to extend healthspan—the number of years lived without serious age-related diseases—by making proactive, preventative healthcare more accessible to Canadians.
“Our approach is built for people who don’t want to wait for health problems to arise,” said Farrand. “We help them take control of their health with proactive solutions that fit their lifestyle—all while keeping their dollars in Canada.”
With a healthcare system largely focused on treating illness rather than prevention, MyHealthspan is pioneering a new standard in longevity care, helping Canadians live healthier, longer lives—without the need for frequent clinic visits.
