Vantage Group, a global leader in airport and transportation infrastructure, has announced the launch of Vantage Futures, a corporate venture initiative aimed at revolutionizing the future of aviation and mobility.
Vantage Futures will invest in early-stage companies, from seed to Series B, that are driving innovation in three key areas: sustainability, connected infrastructure, and the future of mobility. The initiative seeks to back groundbreaking technologies that enhance carbon neutrality, streamline operations, and redefine how people and goods move globally.
“With Vantage Futures, we are expanding on Vantage Group’s decades-long mission to create ideas that go places and transform transportation,” said Matthew Handford, Executive Managing Director of Vantage Futures.
“We’ve seen incredible opportunities in our three verticals and look forward to partnering with bold thinkers to help fund solutions that accelerate sustainability, efficiency, and mobility in transportation infrastructure.”
Vantage’s extensive global network—which spans North America, the Caribbean, and Europe—served more than 80 million travelers in 2024, providing a strong launchpad for emerging startups.
As part of its debut, Vantage Futures has made its first investment in Opfyx, an AI-powered software suite for airport, airline, and ground handling operations.
The investment was part of a funding round led by New York-based Zero Infinity Partners (ZIP). Opfyx’s platform will first be piloted at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 7, with potential expansion to Terminal 6, currently under development by Vantage-led JFK Millennium Partners.
“The aviation industry has long relied on outdated, siloed software tools,” said Ben Sehovic, Founder & CEO of Opfyx and former Chief Transformation Officer at British Airways.
“At Opfyx, we’re leveraging deep expertise in both aviation and technology to embed solutions that streamline operations from long-term planning to real-time execution.”
Beyond direct investments, Vantage Futures aims to collaborate with venture capital firms, syndicates, and corporate venture capital funds to scale its impact across the aviation and transportation sectors.
