Vancouver’s Traction Guest has been named one of 20 Rising Stars as part of the Forbes 2019 Cloud 100 list of the 100 top private cloud companies in the world.
Habitually dominated by Silicon Valley companies, this year’s Rising Stars list includes two Canadian companies, Traction Guest and Mississauga’s PointClickCare.
Traction Guest is a cloud-based visitor management solution that was born out of Traction on Demand, a cloud consulting and application development partner with Salesforce.
Originally bootstrapped and incubated within Traction on Demand, Traction Guest was spun out as an independent company in 2015 and was funded by a Salesforce’s $100 million Canada Trailblazer Fund in 2018.
“Our focus has always been to extend visitor management beyond the lobby, using our cloud-based platform to solve complex data, security and compliance challenges for the enterprise,” said Keith Metcalfe, CEO of Traction Guest.
“To be recognized by Forbes, Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures is not only a great honor, but a testament to the potential the tech industry sees in our cloud-based technology, company, and the VMS industry.”
Traction Guest recently raised a $17 million Series A financing round led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from existing investor Salesforce Ventures.
