Launched in 2015 by Victoria’s Redbrick, Assembly Technologies is a digital publishing company that currently reaches 25 million visitors, monthly across the brands it has developed in-house: Facty Health, Heywise, Automaatic, The Getaway, The Habitat, and Critter Culture.
Five year later Assembly was named B.C.’s fastest-growing company for 2020 by Business in Vancouver. Reporting growth of more than 66,000% over five years, Assembly’s revenue went from less than $50,000 to over $26 million.
This week Assembly announced a one-of-a-kind partnership with Alive, the world’s leading health and wellness publisher.
Through this partnership, Assembly will spearhead and manage the development of its first external brand, a completely new Alive.com. Assembly will also manage Alive’s advertising monetization, sponsorships and marketing, and become their technology provider for hosting.
Alive will continue to drive high-quality content creation across its print and digital platforms, but will have access to the added capability of leveraging Assembly’s technology to glean insights that inform its content going forward.
Leading the way forward on this partnership for Assembly will be newly appointed CEO, Jamie Geiger.
“I’m thrilled to have stepped into the role of CEO at Assembly at a time when digital readership is on the rise – accelerated by the general digitization of our everyday lives, as well as extended remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Geiger.
“With an increased interest in health and wellness, particularly during the global health crisis, Canadians want to be and stay informed, and are turning to online channels for the high-quality and accurate information they need to stay well.”Headquartered in Richmond, Alive Publishing Group currently reaches over 1.5 million readers in print, monthly, across North America.
Redbrick‘s portfolio of companies also includes Shift, Leadpages, and Rebase.
