Vancouver’s Unbounce has closed a $52 million funding round led by Denver-based private equity firm Crest Rock Partners.
According to reports, Crest Rock will now have controlling interest in Unbounce with Steve Johnson and Jeff Carnes, partners and co-founders of Crest Rock Partners, joining Unbounce’s Rick Perreault on the company’s board.
The landing page and conversion optimization company also announced today that current Chief Revenue Officer, Felicia Bochicchio, has been appointed to the position of company President. Bochicchio takes over for co-founder Carter Gilchrist in this role.
Since its founding in 2009, Unbounce has experienced consistent year-over-year growth and has now powered over one billion conversions around the world. Its AI-powered platform enables marketers to quickly and efficiently create and optimize high converting landing pages without the need for a developer.
Unbounce will use this capital to accelerate its ambition to deliver accessible and affordable AI-powered conversion optimization solutions to SMBs, and plans to increase its headcount by 50 percent over the next three years. Unbounce is currently hiring.
Before today’s massive round Unbounce had only raised $850,000 and that was in 2011. That distant round included a syndicate of investors including Real Ventures, 500 Startups’ Dave McClure, Version One’s Boris Wertz, and Mark MacLeod.
Unbounce was co-founded by Carl Schmidt, Carter Gilchrist, Jason Murphy, Justin Stacey, Oli Gardner, and Rick Perreault.
