BC Technology Impact Award Winners Announced

November 5, 2020 by Robert Lewis

This year the winners of the 2020 Technology Impact Awards (TIAs) were announced virtually.

Unlike previous years where the winners were showered with attention at an in-person gala event, this year the awards were presented online.

Produced by the BC Tech Association, the TIA awards represent the cream of an impressive crop of innovative ventures fuelling unprecedented growth and global competitiveness across BC.

Now in its 27th year of celebrating excellence and innovation in the province’s tech sector, the TIAs are the largest and longest-running awards program of its kind.

Today’s event celebrated thirty-eight finalists across eleven categories and the winners are:

Company of the Year – Startup Success: NZ Technologies

Company of the Year – Growth Success:  Klue

Excellence in Global Export: AbCellera

Excellence in Technology Innovation:  Terramera

Excellence in Technology Adoption: Finning

Company of the Year – Scale Success: Trulioo

Company of the Year – Anchor Success: Telus

Spirit of BC Tech – Purpose: SkyHive

GameChanger – Diversity & Inclusion: Unbounce

Tech Culture of the Year: Copperleaf

Person of the Year:  Jack Newton, Clio

“With members of the tech community having more reasons than ever to feel proud of their accomplishments, it was thrilling to share this pride with so many people,” said BC Tech President and CEO Jill Tipping, who co-hosted the TIAs with Riaz Meghji, Founder of Every Conversation Counts.
