OvareGroup Expands Agency Portfolio with Investment in Vancouver’s JIBE

January 28, 2021 by Robert Lewis Leave a Comment

Vancouver e-commerce agency JIBE has landed a ‘significant’ investment  from Los-Angeles-based OvareGroup.

Founded in 2009, JIBE employs specialists across North America in helping better-life brands thrive into e-commerce businesses through user-centric design, technical architecting and development, and performance marketing.

Experts in BigCommerce, Shopify and Magento, and highly custom e-commerce implementations, JIBE is the trusted agency for brands looking to elevate their eCommerce experience, including brands such as 7mesh, Arc’teryx, Sugoi and Organika.

“Since the pandemic, in-store foot traffic has given way to eCommerce and digital behavior, a trend that we expect to see continue,” noted Jordan F. Reber, Chairman and CEO of the OvareGroup. “As a leading eCommerce agency, JIBE’s expertise is accretive to our portfolio, and their know-how will help both our existing clients and our burgeoning DTC portfolio.”

JIBE CEO and Founder Steve Krueger added, “We were attracted to OvareGroup because of our shared desire to work with ‘better-life brands’ in the social, environmental, recycled goods and outdoor industries as well as our focus on fuelling and investing in startups and DTC businesses. Our skillset and expertise are complementary to help fuel growth of our existing roster of brands, as well as the other OvareGroup agencies and the brands they serve. We are extremely excited to accelerate our growth in Vancouver and across Canada.”

Most immediately, JIBE will work to support the brands in OvareVentures’ DTC portfolio, but all companies and clients within the OvareGroup will have access to the resources and talent at JIBE.

“JIBE’s presence in Vancouver was also attractive to us, as we are committed to the talent and creative community there,” added Reber. “We look forward to growing our presence in Vancouver and across Canada in the coming year and beyond.”
