Vancouver’s Procurify announced today that they have landed two significant hires from Canadian tech unicorn ApplyBoard and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Alicia Bedard, the former Senior Director of Marketing at ApplyBoard, has joined Procurify as the VP Marketing.
Manohar Ganesan, former Senior Product Manager at Amazon, has joined as the VP Product and Engineering.
Procurify is a spend management solution that has tracked over $20+ billion in purchasing and spending for hundreds of fast-growing and innovative organizations around the world.
During her time at ApplyBoard, Bedard led the development and execution of the company’s global marketing and brand strategy and helped the company reach rare unicorn status.
On the appointment of Bedard, Aman Mann, CEO and Co-Founder of Procurify, says, “Alicia is joining Procurify from one of the fastest-growing startups in Canada and we couldn’t be more excited. Alicia’s tenacity, integrity, and experience is a rare triple threat in the Canadian startup world, and we’re incredibly lucky to now have her as an asset on our leadership team.”
Manohar Ganesan joins Procurify with an entrepreneurial background. Having run his startup, Swarasta, solving problems around last-mile logistics in India, his experience in product and engineering spans companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Automatic Labs, Jawbone, Motorola Mobility, and Hewlett-Packard.
On joining Procurify, Ganesan says, “Spend management is effective when we go beyond capturing transactions and facilitate effective spend behaviour within teams. Effective spending is a game-changer in a company’s ability to maximize its runway to achieve its mission. I’m thrilled to be a part of Procurify, where we work to help our customers succeed in their mission.”
Procurify was founded in 2012 by CEO Aman Mann, CTO Eugene Dong and CRO Kenneth LoI and raised a $26 million in a Series B funding round in 2019.
