Taking a Look at This Spring’s New Ventures BC Events

March 21, 2022 by Techcouver Newsdesk Leave a Comment

BC’s largest and longest-running tech competition is now in its 22nd year and searching for BC’s best new tech startups.

This year New Ventures BC is giving away over $250,000 in non-dilutive cash and prizes to the most promising tech ventures across the province.

Startups are encouraged to apply by April 11, with an information session being held this week on March 23. There will also be a networking event on March 31.

The NVBC competition combines five critical resources—Education, Mentorship, Networking, Feedback, and Recognition—to give startups the ultimate launchpad for success.

As part of this commitment of resources, NVBC will also host the Startup Seminar Series. The series will cover key topics such as Pricing for Innovation, Managing Intellectual Property, and Corporate Structure.

The first event, Product Fit & Market Discovery, takes place on March 29. The 12-week education series is free for all, wrapping up with Exit Strategy on June 1.

MintList (Traffic Driven), Train Fitness, and Moment Energy have gone on to raise a combined $6.5 million in seed and pre-seed funding, in just one year since taking top prizes at the 2021 NVBC awards.
