At the beginning of the pandemic, furniture retail boomed as professionals shifted to work-from-home and ordering furniture online became more mainstream, but some companies haven’t been able to keep up with the demand in the long-run.
Vancouver-born Article was not one of those companies thanks to warehouses across North America, an office in Vietnam to be close to furniture manufacturers, and their own final mile delivery fleet strategically positioned in major metros like New York City and Los Angeles, and more recently, areas like Denver, Boston, and San Francisco.
This means Article was relying less on third-parties and able to stay more attuned to the shifting needs of the customer.
As a result and even with supply chain issues, Article recently delivered its 1 millionth order and saw a +45% year-over-year increase in revenue growth between 2020 and 2021.

“Investments in our fulfillment network, growth of our Vietnam office, and executive hires are among many recent company milestones that support our pursuit to build the easiest way to create a beautiful space. We anticipate the year ahead will be challenging for a number of reasons,” Aamir Baig, co-founder and CEO of Article, shared.

Article placed 159th on the Globe and Mail’s 2021 list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies with 3-year revenue growth of 272% and revenue in the range of $250-500 million.
In 2019 Article was named Canada’s Fastest-Growing Company by Canadian Business based on 5-year revenue growth of 24,182%.
