Last month Vancouver’s Black and White Zebra acquired London, UK, based SaaS lead-generation company Crozdesk.
Today they continued on that momentum with the appointment of Philip Gray to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Joining BWZ’s Executive Leadership Team, Gray will support their expansion plans and provide operational strength and excellence to the rapidly growing business. Gray brings over a decade of tech startup leadership and operational experience to the role following his most recent position as VP Operations at Thinkific.
In addition, BWZ recently hired Joe McGauley as Managing Editor, following senior editorial roles at Group Nine Media and Thrillist, further bolstering the company’s editorial expertise, and Executive Leadership strength.
“The BWZ business has experienced phenomenal growth and success to date as we’ve helped millions of people navigate the evolving world of work through compelling content that is also highly optimised, and effective, for our advertising partners.” comments Ben Aston, Founder & CEO, BWZ.
“We have big ambitions for the future, and we’re excited to benefit from Philip’s deep operational expertise as we enter the company’s next stage of growth.”
BWZ is the parent company for a number of major online publications that aim to provide people with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed professionally. BWZ achieves millions of unique website visitors per month, and generates millions of leads every year for SaaS companies including Monday.com, ClickUp and SmartSheet.
“I’m thrilled to join BWZ at this exciting time in its journey. Ben and the team have built an incredibly valuable business, and I’m looking forward to further strengthening the company and supporting the team as BWZ continues on its exciting trajectory,” comments Philip Gray, COO, BWZ.
“The world of work has changed significantly over the last few years, and BWZ is at the forefront of providing individuals and businesses with the knowledge, skills, community and tools to effectively navigate and succeed during this time of change.”
