Swede wants to disrupt the home renovation market by simplifying the way home renovations are planned and purchased.
The BC-based startup looks to streamline otherwise complex relationships, such as those between interior designers, customers, manufacturers, and suppliers—in order to make the experience “as simple as ordering stylish furniture online.”
“Work with one of our featured interior designers to bring your kitchen plan to life with one-on-one design guidance … tailored to your style, space, and budget,” the company website says. A Swede advisor offers a complimentary budget analysis and consultation to kick things off, and later in the process Swede supplies vetted contractors to complete the customers’ vision.
Recently, Edmonton-based Sprout.vc announced an investment in Swede.
“We’re very excited to leverage the incredible experience and network provided by the Sprout.vc leadership team,” Swede founder Anthony Stubbs said of the announcement.
“This capital will enable Swede to begin accelerating our launch across Canada,” he added.
Sprout also invested in Victoria’s Frontly at the same time.
