Now in its 23rd year, the New Ventures BC Competition, presented by Innovate BC, is back and searching for BC’s best new tech startups.
BC’s largest and longest-running tech competition is known for identifying and propelling forward the province’s most quickly-rising startups.
The NVBC Competition has had a significant impact on the province’s rapidly growing tech sector.
Since inception, the competition has supported more than 3,400 BC tech companies that have collectively gone on to create over 8,600 full-time jobs and raise over $1.6B. Notable alumni include Aspect Biosystems, Open Ocean Robotics, and Ionomr Innovations.
Interest continues to remain high, as 2022 marked the third consecutive year that the competition attracted more than 200 applications.
Last year’s competition was won by smart business card startup, OVOU. Other recent winners include Mintlist (2021), aDolus Technology (2020), and Lumen5 (2019).
This year New Ventures BC is giving away over $250,000 in non-dilutive cash and prizes to the most promising tech ventures across the province.
