Each spring entrepreneurship@UBC brings together UBC’s venture and investor community to create connections and build networks at their Investor Showcase.
Designed to feature the later-stage ventures from their community that are fundraising, the Investor Showcase highlights ventures leading their industries, demonstrating the progress being made through research and innovation and the potential for early-stage ventures to solve global issues across climate, human health, social impact and more.
As part of the Investor Showcase, ventures went through a rigorous application process, detailing their 4Ts: team, tech, traction and treasury, a made at e@UBC, for e@UBC framework, as well as the impact of their venture solution.
The 16 finalist teams that will be pitching at the Investor Showcase on May 2nd has been announced and among them are OnDeck Fisheries AI and UVX.

Named a homegrown BC Startup to watch in 2023, UVX is a device company that disinfects air and surfaces using a form of light that is safe for human exposure but kills pathogens in seconds, even while people are present. Last spring UVX was awarded $300K in Spring Activator’s 2022 Health Impact Investor Challenge.
