New Vancouver Tech Event Looks to ‘Unleash Innovation,’ Spark US Collaboration

June 2, 2023 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

A new large-scale tech conference is coming to Vancouver in 2024.

It is not Collision, as some have called for, but rather Innovate West.

The multi-day event, slated for mid-April next year, is due to take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It will focus on the intersection of technology and business innovation.

More so than copying Collision in Vancouver, Innovate West aims to fill the void left by the BC Tech Summit.

The BC Tech Summit was an annual event hosted by the B.C. government and Innovate BC until the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID.

Unlike the Summit, however, Innovate West will be more industry-led rather than a government platform.

The event, announced at the TechExit conference, is still in the early stages of planning.

One goal of the conference is to reignite cross-border trade, which was hindered during the pandemic.

As such, organizers suggest the conference is an opportunity for investors and companies from Washington, Oregon, and California to come to Vancouver.

Innovate West is part of the suite of events produced by Cube Business Media. Cube also organizes SaaS North, Tech Talent North, Business Transitions Forum, and Knowshow.

The conference is targeting startups, scale-ups, C-suite executives, and tech leaders across various sectors to get involved.

Activities at the conference will include matchmaking, networking, lead generation, and other forms of collaboration among thought leaders and innovators.
