A people analytics and workforce solutions company this week issued several announcements out of the annual HR Technology Conference in Las Vegas.
Vancouver’s Visier unveiled Systemic HR, which captures the shift from people analytics as a specialized reporting and analysis discipline within HR departments to people analytics as a pervasive data strategy where trusted and secure workforce insights inform every decision and workflow.
At a conference keynote, industry analyst Josh Bersin described Systemic HR as the bridging of disconnected silos across the specialized functions within HR, and also the silos separating HR from the business itself.
Through unifying the data within these various systems, he noted, leaders can understand the impact of people on business, and the impact of business on people.
Ryan Wong, chief executive of Visier, agrees.
“After 13 years building the people analytics category, we’re seeing major inflection points driving substantial growth in demand on multiple fronts,” stated Wong. “We’re also seeing the people analytics category shift from a fairly narrow and specialized HR concern, to what can only be described as core intelligence for the business writ large.”
At the event, Visier previewed Vee, the firm’s Generative AI digital assistant, which democratizes access to workforce insights for managers and non-analysts, according to Bersin.
“Every problem we need to solve in HR is interconnected,” he said. “HR professionals need to connect this data together to diagnose the problem, and tools like Vee make this amazingly easy.”
Originally revealed as a beta release in June, Vee is now available on every Visier People product.
“We are excited about how a Visier-powered generative AI solution will deliver a transformative experience for our customers,” Ryan Bergstrom, Chief Product Officer of Visier client Paycor, stated. “By offering an AI digital assistant within our people analytics solution, Paycor will provide a conversational UI that allows our customers to ask questions naturally and deliver instant analytical insights around their workforce in plain language.”
An expansion of capabilities for Alpine by Visier, launched last year, was also announced.
The bolstered suite of features from Visier reflects Wong’s assertion that employees are the ultimate resource of a company.
“People are the largest single financial investment most companies will ever make, and the most important resource for driving business impact at scale,” Wong said. “And we all know that you can’t manage what you don’t measure.”
The well-funded Visier, which made multiple acquisitions last year, earlier this month appointed Keith Bigelow as Chief Product Officer. Wong described the executive as a “highly effective product leader who has a wealth of experience in our space.”
“Visier is the undisputed leader in the people analytics space, offering the most robust and comprehensive solutions on the market,” stated Bigelow. “The company is at an exciting moment with its product evolution and market timing, and I am eager to work with this talented group in guiding the future product vision and the next stage of growth.”
With 42,000 customers across over 70 countries, Visier is a marketshare leader in the people analytics category.
