Last-mile delivery startup Omnicart has raised a $1.5 million funding round led by Foodhub, a UK-based company that provides online food ordering and management software to restaurants.
Omnicart is a SaaS platform and a delivery operating system for any business owner who have access to fleets of drivers.
In the same way that Shopify made it easier for anyone to start and scale an e-commerce business, Omnicart is making it possible to start and scale an on-demand delivery business.
Omnicart can get set up in days and can be used for delivery of any type of products including food & beverage, cannabis, liquor, and consumer goods.
“Foodhub is excited about the recent stake acquisition in Omnicart, a move that signifies a leap forward in our mission to enhance our food delivery platform. This partnership aligns with our innovative ethos and customer-centric approach, promising to deliver superior software for restaurants,” shared Ardian Mula, CEO at Foodhub.
Investors in the round also included Motion Metrics founder Shahram Tafazoli and Oracle data scientist Oleksiy Ignatyev.
Omnicart was co-founded in 2019 by CEO Arya Rashtchian and COO Nader Samadyan. In 2022 the pair was named to BC Business’ 30 Under 30 list.
