The 2023 BC Cleantech Awards Startup of the Year, Moment Energy, is carrying momentum with it into 2024 and all the way to Las Vegas.
In Vegas this week is CES, which defines itself as “the most powerful tech event in the world.”
Promising 130,000 attendees and 4,000 exhibitors, CES connects partners, customers, media, investors, and policymakers from across the industry and world in one place.
Moment Energy will be among 1,200 startups attending the annual exhibition.
Cofounders Gurmesh Sidhu and Sumreen Rattan will be present to showcase their company’s flagship product, the Flora Battery Energy Storage System.
BESS reduces energy costs, ensures uninterrupted power, and facilitates clean energy transition for on and off-grid facilities, according to the founders.
Last year, Moment assisted a BC resort, the off-grid God’s Pocket in Port Hardy, with a BESS solution to help the unique retreat achieve higher levels of sustainability.
The company has also partnered with Saskatchewan Renewable Energy Solutions as well as Hydro Ottawa among others.
“This project holds promise for enhancing the capabilities and resiliency of our grid in order to support the future of electrification and the energy needs of our customers,” stated Guillaume Paradis, Chief Electricity Distribution Officer at Hydro Ottawa, in December.
In addition to highlighting BESS at CES, chief product officer Sidhu will be featured on a panel at the event, “Defining the Future of Mobility,” on Wednesday.
