Vancouver Island Agency RankPast Digital Launches Podcast Crafted by AI

June 10, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

What happens when you hand the mic to artificial intelligence and ask it to make local search engine optimization fun?

This question was asked by RankPast Digital, a tech-forward marketing agency based in Mill Bay that helps B.C. businesses grow through SEO, automation, and AI-powered strategy.

The answer appears to be the Rise & Rank with RankPast Podcast, which is 100% powered by AI, from research and scripting to the host voices and even the marketing materials.

“We wanted to show what’s possible when AI is used with intention,” says Reese Richards, founder of RankPast and producer of the podcast.

Each bite-sized episode (about 10 minutes long) delivers smart, strategic tips in a style that’s punchy, witty, and surprisingly human—according to the AI, at least.

The 14-episode weekly series kicked off with a Google Business Profile edition on Tuesday, June 3rd.

The hosts are AI-generated personalities Kai and Aileen and their sidekick pug named Arti.

“This isn’t just a tech experiment—it’s a real educational resource, crafted by SEOs, powered by AI, and refined by humans who care about the experience,” said Richards.

New episodes drop every Tuesday, covering an array of practical topics.

“I see AI podcasts becoming a new way to share knowledge while making learning fun and effective,” Richards says.

RankPast was founded on Vancouver Island in 2008. The firm aims to bring “sophisticated techniques typically reserved for big corporations” to small, local businesses.
