UniUni was recently recognized as “Last Mile Company of the Year” by SupplyTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization.
The annual awards highlight the world’s standout technology companies, products, and services in the global supply chain technology and logistics industry.
Innovation in the space is key moving forward into a digital-first world, argues Bryan Vaughn, Managing Director of SupplyTech Breakthrough Awards.
“The rise of e-commerce has put pressure on brands and their logistics partners to innovate in a space long stalled by outdated practices,” stated Vaughn.
Martin van den Hemel, Director of Communications at UniUni, says the Vancouver firm considers the recognition from SupplyTech to be “a tremendous honour and a reflection of the relentless work of our team.”
“We’re proud to be building a smarter, tech-forward, more efficient last-mile delivery model,” said van den Hemel. “One that’s powered by innovation and driven by our commitment to deliver for e-commerce brands and their shoppers at every opportunity.”
Founded in 2019, UniUni’s mission is to make “the last mile the best mile” by leveraging scalable technology such as AI-driven routing, predictive analytics, and robotic sorting systems to deliver speed and reliability at scale.

“E-commerce brands operate in a fast-moving world with high customer expectations and razor-thin margins; they need delivery partners that can move just as quickly,” van den Hemel says. “UniUni offers them a new model: tech-powered, highly responsive, and obsessively focused on the last mile.”
With more than 100 warehouses and sorting centres across North America, UniUni currently reaches more than 80% of the Canadian population and more than 55% of the American population.
Another Canadian winner at SupplyTech’s awards was Toronto’s GoBolt, who was recognized as “Overall Logistics Solution Provider of the Year.”
Founded in 2017, GoBolt combines fulfillment, last-mile delivery, returns processing, and end-to-end logistics management into a single cohesive service.
“By combining fulfillment, and middle- and last-mile operations, GoBolt enhances speed and reliability, eliminates bottlenecks, reduces handling errors, and streamlines the supply chain process,” noted Vaughn.
Last year, UniUni was fourth on Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50 list with revenue growth of 12,854% between 2020 and 2023. The logistics company also added USD $30 million to an oversubscribed Series C2 financing round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
