Vancouver-based VoltSafe has been selected to join The Port of San Diego’s Blue Economy Incubator, securing USD $250,000 to launch an extensive pilot program in one of the world’s top marina markets.
Specializing in patented shore power hardware and a SaaS platform for marine electrification, VoltSafe will also gain business development support, marketing assistance, and media exposure as part of the partnership.
“The Port of San Diego’s Blue Economy Incubator is a global first, and partnering with them signals more than a milestone — it’s proof that VoltSafe isn’t just raising the bar, it’s rewriting the standard,” said Trevor Burgess, VoltSafe CEO and co-founder.
“As the marine industry races toward smarter, low-carbon infrastructure, this collaboration positions VoltSafe at the center of that transformation.”
The Port’s Blue Economy Incubator supports sustainable ocean-economy ventures by removing barriers for entrepreneurs and offering funding, key assets, permitting assistance, and pilot project facilitation.
Southern California — one of the world’s largest recreational boating hubs and a global clean-tech leader — represents a critical launchpad for VoltSafe’s technology, with success here opening the door to rapid expansion in other high-demand coastal markets worldwide.
