Ten Finalists Named for 2025 New Ventures BC Competition

After months of pitches, mentorship, and competition rounds, the 2025 New Ventures BC Competition has announced its Top 10 finalists.

The finalists, hailing from across Metro Vancouver and beyond, represent a wide range of industries including fintech, healthtech, clean technology, AI, and software solutions. This year’s top contenders, listed alphabetically, are:

• BuildMapper (Vancouver)
• CanDry Technologies (Coquitlam)
• Cater Dash (Burnaby)
• EyecareX (Vancouver)
• ImageCyte (Vancouver)
• Minpraxis Solutions (Vancouver)
• PeerSupport.io (Langley Township)
• PINA Creation (Burnaby)
• Sigen AI (Vancouver)

The 10 startups will now face the competition’s final stage, pitching their businesses to a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors. At stake is a share of $250,000 in cash and prizes.

Winners will be announced at the NVBC Awards Ceremony on October 1st at the Stanley Park Pavilion, where British Columbia’s innovation community will gather to celebrate the province’s next wave of high-growth companies.

Now in its 25th year, the NVBC Competition has become a launchpad for some of B.C.’s most successful startups, providing mentorship, exposure, and funding to hundreds of entrepreneurs shaping the province’s innovation economy.
