BDO Canada Invites Vancouver Startups to Pitch Top Local Investors for Capital

September 9, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

An upcoming annual Pitch Day presents a prime networking opportunity as investors connect with emerging startups in Canadian tech.

BDO Canada’s VC Pitch Day, now marking its 10th edition, is a venerable event; launched in 2016, the annual affair survived the tough, virtual days during the Covid Pandemic, ultimately returning with gusto to in-person.

“For ten remarkable years, our VC Pitch Day has been our premier event connecting scaling and emerging technology companies with top investors,” reads a statement from BDO Canada online.

The full-service accounting and advisory firm is currently inviting early-stage and scaling Canadian tech companies to present to leading venture capitalists at VC Pitch Day 2025.

“Polish your pitch deck and apply for your chance to join us for a day of innovation, networking, and valuable face time with local VCs for your company’s success,” offers BDO.

Previous investors at prior editions of the event include Panache Ventures, Brightspark, Two Small Fish, Graphite Ventures, Real Ventures, BDC Capital, Inovia Capital, Golden Ventures, Version One Ventures, and Amplitude Ventures.

“This isn’t just a pitch; it’s your chance to gain valuable and impactful feedback about your business from experienced investors, connect with other entrepreneurs in the ecosystem, and potentially raise the capital needed to grow your company,” states BDO Canada, noting that “this event is designed for growing tech and life science companies looking to secure seed or Series A funding.”

Applications are open until October 1st. After that, selected tech startups will be invited to share their stories at one of four VC Pitch Day events taking place in Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto.

The Vancouver event is slated for November 6th.
