Seeking Revenues, a Struggling Damon Pivots to AI Driving Performance Tech

September 11, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas 1 Comment

Damon Motors believes it may have identified a new revenue opportunity.

The Vancouver-based developer of electric motorbike technology has been struggling: After several years of over-promising and under-delivering, shares in Damon’s stock have shrank by more than 99% since going public in 2024.

Moving forward—with the infamous HyperSport bike still not yet in production but available to reserve—Damon is shifting focus from hardware to software via its newly developed Damon I/O platform, which features an advanced machine learning module developed in-house designed to enable dynamic performance tuning based on rider behaviour, vehicle data, and environmental inputs.

“Motorcycle track riding is a highly complex sport where knowledge has traditionally been passed down from rider to rider,” explains Dom Kwong, who serves as Chief Executive Officer at Damon.

Damon I/O offers track riders’ contextual insights, technical guidance, and real-time safety recommendations, aiming to transform the way performance is understood and improved.

“With Damon I/O, we are unlocking that collective expertise and providing track riders with an intelligent, always-available assistant to accelerate learning and improve safety,” Kwong says.

Damon’s platform leverages real-world riding data, including GPS-based lap and sector times, lean angle, yaw rate, throttle position, front and rear wheel speeds, battery health, and regenerative contributions—all in order to achieve faster lap times, refine technique, and gain deeper understanding.

“We believe by delivering meaningful value to riders, we are also creating a scalable revenue stream that strengthens our position as a leader in AI-enabled mobility solutions,” stated Kwong.

While initially focused on track riders, Kwong sees potential for Damon’s platform to revolutionize street riding as well.

The same principles that help riders corner faster and safer on the track apply to everyday roads, according to the CEO, who envisions a world where Damon generates revenues while improving public road safety and saving lives.

What a scam company. They took deposits from thousands of hopeful customers and now they are pivoting to some random performance optimization software that no one wants or cares about. How about returning your customers deposits before you are officially bankrupt? Last gasps of a dying company, hope everyone is aware of this scam.
