TELUS, Check Point Team on Cybersecurity

October 1, 2025 by Techcouver Newsdesk Leave a Comment

TELUS has launched an advanced email protection service powered by Check Point’s Harmony technology, boasting a 99.7 percent phishing catch rate.

The new cloud-native platform blocks malicious content before it reaches the inbox. It integrates with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace and extends protection to collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Slack, and Dropbox.

“Cyber threats evolve daily,” said Carey Frey, Chief Security Officer at TELUS. “Our partnership with Check Point delivers one of the industry’s most advanced protection services, helping customers stay ahead.”

TELUS is a member of the BC Tech Association.

BC Tech is the largest member-led technology non-profit in British Columbia, and we’re dedicated to turning startups and scaleups into the anchor companies of tomorrow. Unlike conventional email security that scans after delivery, TELUS Email Protection Service Advanced uses patented low-latency technology to stop attacks in real time. The service defends against zero-day threats, supports regulatory compliance, prevents data loss, and provides integrated reporting across TELUS security services.

“Email remains one of the easiest ways for criminals to break into networks,” added David Meister, Global Head of MSP at Check Point. “As attackers use AI to craft sophisticated phishing campaigns, organizations must respond with AI-driven defenses.”

Backed by TELUS’s 24/7 cybersecurity experts, the service activates quickly, giving businesses instant visibility and continuous protection across email and collaboration platforms.
