Team BC Showcases AI Leadership at Canada’s Largest AI Conference

October 3, 2025 by Robert Lewis Leave a Comment

B.C. made a national statement in Montreal last week as more than 150 delegates represented the province at ALL IN, Canada’s largest artificial intelligence conference. Organized by AInBC, the 60+ companies making up “Team BC” formed the country’s largest provincial delegation — and, by many accounts, the most active.

Among the highlights, Vancouver-based Miraterra captured the conference’s Agritech Challenge, earning the chance to pitch at the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization competition in Rome, Italy. Ahead of the conference, AInBC also arranged a visit to the MILA AI research institute, where 50 innovators from B.C. explored opportunities for collaboration with world-leading researchers.

The delegation drew attention from international and national leaders. AInBC’s executive director, Rob Goehring, met with Mohamed Bintaliah, Chief of Government Services for the UAE, to discuss investment opportunities, while Ontario’s new Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, Evan Solomon, stopped by the Team BC booth to meet with startups Variational AI and Industrio AI. Federal MP Taleeb Noormohamed also addressed attendees during a reception that drew more than 300 guests.

Quotes from participants underscored the energy around B.C.’s AI scene. “Being part of Team BC at ALL IN was inspiring,” said Adina Gray of Purple Owl AI. “The delegation showed just how much variety and innovative energy exists in B.C.’s AI sector.”

“Team BC staged an effective takeover of the ALL IN event,” added Loki Jorgenson of Circle Innovation.

From agritech breakthroughs to global investment conversations, the trip highlighted how B.C.’s AI ecosystem is gaining visibility on the international stage. As Jennifer Boger of Atomic47 Labs put it: “The breadth of innovation and deep expertise showcased at ALL IN reflects the incredibly rich and rapidly growing AI ecosystem in B.C.”

To keep the momentum going, AInBC will host a post-conference celebration and debrief on October 6th at Northeastern University Vancouver, bringing together companies, leaders, and community members to chart the future of AI in the province.
