Metro Vancouver’s startup ecosystem is at a crossroads—and next week, the Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum (VEF) will bring together some of the region’s top tech leaders to ask a defining question: Is Metro Vancouver built for big exits?
Taking place Monday, October 27th at UBC Robson Square, the event will convene founders, investors, and policymakers to explore how the region can strengthen its foundation for scaling companies and achieving successful exits.
The evening’s speaker lineup includes Maria Pacella, Managing Partner at Pender Ventures; Brianna Blaney, CEO and Co-Founder of Pocketed; Michelle Sklar, Head of Marketing and Communications at Innovation UBC; Jacquie Griffiths, President of Invest Vancouver; and Catherine Dahl, Co-founder and former CEO of Beanworks Solutions, acquired by Quadient.
Presented by Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum in collaboration with Invest Vancouver, the event will dive into what’s working in the region’s tech ecosystem, where the gaps remain, and how collaboration between public and private sectors can fuel future growth.
The program will also feature lightning presentations from local startup founders, each delivering a 90-second pitch to a friendly audience of entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and government representatives—an opportunity designed to highlight emerging innovation and showcase the next generation of Vancouver success stories.
