Vancouver is set to spotlight one of its fastest-growing sectors as VEF teams up with NorthX to present From Pilot to Platform — Scaling Climate Solutions in BC on Wednesday, November 18th, immediately following the NorthX Converge conference.
Climate tech remains one of British Columbia’s most urgent and high-potential economic opportunities, but gaps in funding, infrastructure, and commercialization support continue to prevent homegrown ventures from scaling globally. The upcoming panel aims to tackle that challenge directly.
The event brings together a lineup of leading voices in the province’s climate-tech ecosystem, including Bill Shmygol, Associate at Evok Innovations; Bethany Ladd, Co-founder and Head of Operations at ARCA; Sumreen Rattan, Co-founder and COO of Moment Energy; and Nate Kelly, CEO of Miraterra. The discussion will be moderated by Justin Reist, Founder of Climate Tech Canada.
Organizers say the evening is designed for founders, investors, policymakers, and sustainability leaders looking to accelerate B.C.’s transition from breakthrough pilots to globally competitive platforms.
With momentum building around industrial decarbonization, advanced materials, and clean energy solutions across the province, the event aims to highlight what it will take for B.C. to lead the next wave of climate innovation.
