An automation software startup based in Vancouver announced a strategic partnership today with major telecom services provider Axtel.
Vancouver’s SimplyAsk.ai says that the partnership with Mexico’s Axtel was established following a business introduction made through Export Development Canada.
“We’re excited to partner with Axtel,” commented SimplyAsk.ai founder Shuli Gortler.
Through the partnership, Axtel will offer its enterprise customers SimplyAsk’s flagship Symphona product.
Symphona is a no‑code AI platform for business operations automation that enables organizations to automate workflows and service operations through conversational AI agents, intelligent ticketing, and automated task management, with open integrations to existing systems.
Organizations “want practical AI that ships to production and delivers outcomes fast and predictably,” according to Zane Frantzen, who serves as Vice President of Platform & Operations at SimplyAsk.ai.
Axtel’s IT services division, Alestra, will begin deploying Symphona across more than 300 enterprise accounts in sectors such as finance, retail, manufacturing, and logistics, with broader availability to follow.
“This collaboration brings top‑tier, practical AI to Mexico and validates the measurable efficiencies Symphona delivers for enterprises globally,” posits Gortler.
It will “significantly accelerate their time-to-value, and capture the full potential of AI leveraging our combined experience and AI platform advantages.”
In addition to bolstering offerings from Alestra, Axtel also intends to deploy Symphona to improve internal operations.
“For both us and our clients, Symphona’s intuitive tools and open integrations make it a simpler and more scalable option than building and maintaining complex, expensive custom AI solutions in‑house,” says Gabriel Muñoz González, the Managing Director of Alestra’s Cloud Business Line.
“Symphona replaces what we would typically need multiple tools for,” González explains, “making it easier and more cost effective to use.”
“With SimplyAsk.ai’s support, Symphona will help us and our customers go-to-market faster with enterprise‑ready generative AI, enabling more agile operations in Mexico and beyond,” the managing director stated.
Guillermo Freire, who functions as Senior Vice-President of Mid-Market Group for EDC, says the organization is “delighted to see this partnership between SimplyAsk.ai and Axtel come to fruition.”
“EDC’s Business Connection Program opens doors for Canadian companies by introducing them directly to our network of international buyers and partners,” Freire noted. “It’s about helping Canadian exporters diversify into global markets, reduce risk, and scale through trusted, high-value introductions.”
The partnership “is a win for both organizations and a meaningful step forward for Canadian AI innovation,” according to Freire.
In October, SimplyAsk was recognized by Deloitte Canada as one of the country’s fastest-growing tech firms.
SimplyAsk.ai was founded in 2021.
