British Columbia’s tech sector continues to surge, with 23 local companies earning spots on Deloitte’s 2025 Technology Fast 500 list — one of North America’s most respected rankings of rapidly growing tech-driven businesses.
Now in its 31st year, the Fast 500 highlights the fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, fintech, and energy tech companies across the continent. Winners are selected based on percentage fiscal-year revenue growth from 2021 to 2024.
This year, B.C.’s performance stands out across categories ranging from software and sustainability to media and fintech.
Top B.C. Performers
Several B.C. companies ranked inside the top 100, led by Richmond’s UniUni at #17 with 6,829% growth — the highest among all B.C. firms. Vancouver’s Veritree followed closely at #21 with 6,565% growth.
Other strong performers included:
- Oxygen8 (Burnaby) – #61 (1,566%)
- Corinex (Vancouver) – #72 (1,303%)
- Hydreight Technologies (Vancouver) – #77 (1,238%)
- CyberQP (Vancouver) – #86 (1,114%)
B.C.’s tech landscape is also well-represented in energy innovation, with companies such as Ideon, Saltworks, MineSense, VRIFY, and Novarc all making the list. The province’s fintech cluster also earned recognition through KOHO and Aquanow.

Eligibility and Criteria
To qualify for the Technology Fast 500, companies must:
- Own proprietary IP or technology contributing significantly to revenue
- Have base-year revenues of at least US$50,000 and current-year revenues of at least US$5 million
- Demonstrate at least 50% growth
- Be in business for a minimum of four years
- Be headquartered in North America
