RenoFiz Builds AI ‘Virtual Contractor’ to Help Simplify Home Fixes and Upgrades

December 18, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas 1 Comment

A startup based out of Vancouver is utilizing artificial intelligence technology to streamline and simplify home maintenance and upgrade projects for residents in Canada.

The “old way,” as RenoFiz calls it, involves calling multiple different contractors and repeating your problem, then comparing quotes and negotiating terms with limited expertise. This process often takes weeks and the customer could get burned.

The “RenoFiz Way,” meanwhile, claims to involve a single chat with a multimodal AI bot to build a technical work plan. Users upload a photo of what they want to be fixed or renovated, then the system gets to analyzing.

The system aims to provide users with a fair total price and full scope before anyone even steps foot on their property. From there, RenoFiz-approved professionals can choose to select a job to work based on these AI-made plans.

“We don’t just pass your name to random handymen,” the website states. “We connect you with vetted RenoFiz professionals who are trained to work with our AI system. They appreciate the clarity of our Repair Plans, which means they can focus on quality work instead of sales pitches.”

The startup was founded by Marco Tozzini, who saw an opportunity to leverage AI to digitize the pre-construction phase of home maintenance.

“While many platforms act as simple marketplaces, our local team has built a ‘Virtual General Contractor’ capable of holding a natural conversation to understand requirements and assess site conditions instantly,” he says. “We have built our entire platform around this fully autonomous AI capability.”

RenoFiz was founded in 2025.
