Numia Health Brings Bloodwork Testing to Comfort of Your Home

February 6, 2026 by Knowlton Thomas 1 Comment

A new startup based in Vancouver is innovating broader accessibility to medical laboratory testing.

Numia Health, described as a “convenience layer that brings the lab to you,” promises professional blood testing handled from the comfort of one’s home.

The B.C. company, launched last year by chief executive officer Adrián Sahagún, utilizes licensed physicians and accredited Canadian labs to deliver real lab results.

First, users fill out an online form, which takes approximately three minutes to complete, according to Sahagún.

Next, Numia’s partner MD reviews and approves the requisition digitally.

Following that, users select a time and place that works for them (the company offers “same week availability”).

Then and there, a licensed healthcare professional visits for a “quick, professional blood draw.”

And finally, you receive MD-reviewed results “with clear insights” within roughly three days.

Test options include the “Core Health Test,” which provides a baseline to evaluate metabolic health, nutrient levels, and organ function.

Hormone tests for males and for females are also available.

Each test tracks up to 12 markers, such as Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone, SHBG (hormone balance), Estradiol (estrogen levels), TSH (thyroid function), Free T4 (thyroid hormone), Progesterone (cycle balance), Prolactin (reproductive health), AM Cortisol (stress response), PSA (prostate health), LH (ovarian signal), Ferritin (iron stores), Total Cholesterol (heart health), Prolactin (reproductive health), Triglycerides (blood fats), HDL (cholesterol removal), and LDL (cholesterol delivery).

One satisfied user named David sums up exactly why Numia launched in the first place: “I avoided testing because seeing a doctor was hard.”

With Numia, he says, “testing at home was easy.”

All Numia healthcare professionals are fully licensed and certified in British Columbia, while all laboratories are Canadian and certified, with personal and health information protected under Canadian privacy laws such as PIPEDA.
