Three startups working across business acquisitions, sports technology, and industrial decarbonization have been named finalists in Web Summit Vancouver’s PITCH Competition.
The finalists are DealStack.ai, Vancouver’s own Drive Hockey Analytics, and Calgary-based CURA.
DealStack.ai is building agentic infrastructure for buying and selling small businesses, targeting a market where transactions are often fragmented, manual, and difficult to navigate.
Coquitlam’s Drive Hockey Analytics is bringing artificial intelligence to amateur sports through sensor-powered Smart Arenas. The local company’s technology is designed to deliver NHL-level coaching and player development tools to younger and amateur athletes, helping players improve faster through data-driven insights.
CURA, meanwhile, is tackling one of the hardest-to-abate industrial sectors: cement. The Calgary climatetech company is developing electrochemical technology to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from cement production. Its CURALYTE™-powered electrolyzer splits limestone into lime and pure CO₂ for storage or use, with the potential to cut emissions by up to 85% while lowering energy use and manufacturing costs.
Web Summit’s PITCH Competition gives early-stage startups a global stage in front of investors, media, and technology leaders.
This year’s finalists reflect the range of innovation on display at Web Summit Vancouver, from AI-enabled dealmaking to athlete development and climate-focused industrial transformation.
