B.C. Companies Get Go-To-Market Boost

May 14, 2026 by Techcouver Newsdesk Leave a Comment

Eleven B.C. companies are receiving new support to help turn promising technologies into stronger sales, new partnerships, and expanded market reach.

The Province announced this week that Innovate BC is providing funding through its Go-to-Market Microgrant Program, with each company receiving up to $50,000 to support commercialization work such as sales tools, customer-acquisition strategies, strategic partnerships, regulatory readiness, and expansion into new markets. The funding was announced during Web Summit Vancouver, where several recipients are participating to connect with investors, partners, and global technology leaders.

The first intake of the program includes companies working across advanced manufacturing, health technology, artificial intelligence, agrifood, consumer products, and clean technology.

“Through these grants, Innovate BC is helping local companies take the next step in growing their businesses and reaching new customers,” said Brenda Bailey, B.C.’s Minister of Finance. “By supporting companies as they build sales capacity and strengthen operations, we’re creating more opportunities for people and communities across the province. This investment supports a strong, innovative economy that benefits everyone.”

The 11 companies receiving funding are Blanka, CanDry Technologies, VodaSafe, Airble Aviation, VEGAIN Nutrition, INSPOROS Technologies, Ma Robot Responsible AI, VoxCell BioInnovation, NeuroCatch, Naqi Logix, and Tree Track.

Grants range from $25,000 to $50,000, with Blanka, CanDry Technologies, VodaSafe, Airble Aviation, VEGAIN Nutrition, NeuroCatch, and Naqi Logix each receiving $50,000.

Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Jobs and Economic Growth, said the program is part of B.C.’s broader Look West strategy, which is focused on strengthening the province’s economy and helping local companies grow beyond provincial borders.

“Through the Go-to-Market Microgrant Program, we’re helping B.C. companies commercialize, scale and reach new markets,” said Kahlon. “This is our Look West Strategy in action, which is supporting tech-sector growth, strengthening economic resilience, and helping diversify trade while creating opportunities for people and communities across the province.”

Innovate BC says the microgrant is designed to help companies at a critical stage of growth, when early market traction can determine whether a product reaches customers, investors, or partners at scale.

“These companies are at a critical stage where the right support can make a real difference in how quickly they move into the market,” said Peter Cowan, president and CEO of Innovate BC. “The Go-To-Market Microgrant is designed to give founders the flexibility to act, whether that’s reaching customers, refining their approach or building early revenue.”

Among the recipients is VoxCell BioInnovation, a Victoria-based biotechnology company developing human-like vascularized tissue models for drug development and cancer research.

“The Go-to-Market Microgrant program came as a Christmas gift for VoxCell, supporting the development of our go-to-market strategy and also a branding refresh,” said Karolina Valente, CEO and CSO of VoxCell.

Naqi Logix, another recipient, said the funding helped support commercialization efforts around its appearance at CES 2026, where the company earned Best of Innovation recognition.

“Commercialization is about converting interest into a partner pipeline, not just generating awareness,” said Sandeep Arya, chief business officer at Naqi Logix.

The Go-to-Market Microgrant Program is delivered and funded by Innovate BC and the Government of B.C. Its goal is to help B.C.-based startups and small and medium-sized companies improve investor readiness, secure customers, generate revenue, and build stronger commercialization capacity.
