Campertunity Uses AI To Grow Host Network

May 26, 2026 by Robert Lewis Leave a Comment

Vancouver startup Campertunity is using artificial intelligence to accelerate its own marketplace growth, deploying an internal system called Cara to help expand its network of campground and outdoor hospitality hosts.

Built to support Campertunity’s host acquisition and onboarding efforts, Cara researches potential hosts online to better understand their campgrounds, businesses, and offerings before beginning outreach.

From there, Cara delivers personalized communications tailored to each individual host, guiding them through Campertunity’s onboarding process with clear calls to action and thoughtful follow-up.

The early results have been promising. According to Campertunity, Cara achieved a 30% response rate within its first week of deployment, a notable benchmark for large-scale outreach and host engagement.

Unlike traditional support bots that respond to inbound questions, Cara was designed to proactively nurture conversations and build trust over time. The system allows Campertunity to engage thousands of potential hosts while maintaining communications that feel personalized rather than automated.

Campertunity founder Guita Yazdani describes Cara as “customer support with Canadian kindness,” combining AI capabilities with a tone designed to be approachable, respectful, and community-oriented.

For Campertunity, the initiative reflects how startups are increasingly using AI not only in customer-facing products, but also inside their own operations to scale faster and more efficiently.

The company believes Cara represents a step forward in how AI can support marketplace growth, particularly in sectors such as outdoor travel and camping tourism, where relationships and trust are central to the business.
