Bureau this week opened its first showroom in Europe.
The soundproof workspace company is the fusion of two companies, one from Australia and one from Vancouver.
“What started as an idea in Vancouver is now a global business reshaping the way the world works,” says cofounder Scot Sustad.
The startups, which launched in 2019 and 2021, joined forces in 2023 under one name—Bureau—and one vision: To help businesses everywhere build better spaces for better work.
“Utilizing data and technology … we design and deliver modular booths and workspace solutions that inspire deep focus, real collaboration, and more productive work,” reads a mission statement from the firm.
Bureau, which counts NASA and Amazon among its clients, says the official opening of its European showroom in Clerkenwell—aligned with Clerkenwell Design Week—marks a milestone in the company’s global scale-up.
“London is one of the world’s great design cities, and opening our first European showroom there is a proud moment for a brand with Canadian roots,” Sustad says. “It’s proof that homegrown thinking can travel, from Vancouver to Sydney to New York, and now into Europe—and that we’re only just getting started on what comes next.”
The new showroom spans two floors and features an open-door policy for customers whichnshowcases Bureau’s core product range, including the Quad+, One+ focus, One, Tuesday, and Tuesday+ booths.
Bureau aims to provide freelancers with “elastic spaces” via designed to enhance privacy and productivity. For businesses, the booths can be installed without the need for building permits or structural construction.
The company forecasts revenues in 2026 to double from 2025 figures to approximately $US45 million following a recent partnership with global real estate platform WeWork.
Bureau’s booths will help power WeWork Go, which provides private, premium workspace pods for busy areas such as airports.
In March, Bureau became the world’s first soundproof booth company to receive the “Works with WELL” trademark licence from the International WELL Building Institute, which validates rigorous standards for air quality, chemical safety, and emissions under the globally recognized WELL Building Standard.
