Vancouver founders and tech execs will gather downtown later this month for Vancouver Tech Days, a new two-day summit focused on the practical lessons behind building and scaling successful companies.
Taking place July 27 and 28 at And-Co on West Georgia Street, the event will feature two afternoons of fireside chats, panels, keynotes, and networking sessions. Programming runs from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on both days.
Organized by Vancouver Tech Journal, Vancouver Tech Days is designed to move beyond startup theory by featuring founders and executives whose companies have generated nine-figure revenue, raised substantial financing, or achieved rapid commercial growth.
The speaker lineup includes Safe Software founder and CEO Don Murray, whose Surrey-based company generates more than $100 million in annual revenue, and Moment Energy co-founder and CEO Edward Chiang, whose second-life battery startup has raised more than $100 million.
They will be joined by Durable founder James Clift, Ideon Technologies co-founder and CEO Gary Agnew, Inetco CEO Bijan Sanii, DIGITAL COO Elysa Darling, and Web Summit Vancouver Deputy Country Manager Jason Tse. Additional speakers are expected to be announced ahead of the event.
Discussions will examine several of the sectors shaping Vancouver’s next generation of technology companies, including artificial intelligence in marketing, financial technology, energy, hardware, and robotics. Organizers say the sessions will emphasize actionable playbooks from operators who have already navigated financing, product development, commercialization, and growth.
