An Expanding DMG Invests in Local Startups with ‘Tremendous Synergies’

July 16, 2026 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

DMG Blockchain Solutions this week unveiled multiple strategic investments aimed at supporting growth objectives.

The B.C.-based vertically integrated digital asset and data centre technology company is investing in MeetAmi Innovations.

Founded in 2019, MeetAmi is a Vancouver fintech company targeting digital asset wealth management.

“We see tremendous synergies between the two firms and look forward to working together to drive digital asset growth in wealth management,” commented Hashim Mitha, chief executive officer of MeetAmi.

Sheldon Bennett, CEO of DMG, sees “the growth in wealth management clients seeking to securely grow their digital assets as a key opportunity for DMG to build on.”

“With our investment in MeetAmi, we are focusing on growing DMG’s exposure to this segment,” Bennett stated.

DMG is investing in applied AI firm Atomic47 Labs.

Based out of Kelowna, Atomic47 specializes in translating advanced technologies and artificial intelligence into reliable production-grade, systems for regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, infrastructure.

DMG is “committed to building infrastructure for secure, sovereign AI infrastructure in Canada,” says Bennett.

“This investment represents an important step to help build it from the application layer down,” he noted.

Karen Olsson, CEO of Atomic47, says that the investment “is helping Atomic47 accelerate our evolution into a platform-first AI company.”

“It gives us the capital and infrastructure foundation to turn the systems we have built for complex, high-consequence environments into scalable Canadian platforms,” Olsson said.

“Together, we are advancing a sovereign AI ecosystem that extends from secure infrastructure through to trusted, production-ready applications,” she stated.

DMG also announced the promotion of company cofounder Jenya Bennett from controller to chief management officer, a role whose focus is “aligning DMG’s strategy with the resources required to achieve operational excellence.”

“As DMG expands into the artificial intelligence data centre business, the company must add resources and processes to manage a much greater level of complexity,” explains COO Steven Eliscu. “A task for which Jenya is highly suited.”

Earlier this year, DMG Blockchain Solutions was awarded a $1.5 million “energy efficiency incentive” for its deployment of hydro direct liquid cooled server technology at the company’s 65-megawatt, 27,000-square-foot data centre facility in Christina Lake.

Founded in 2011, DMG Blockchain Solutions trades publicly on the TSX-V under the ticker symbol DMGI.

The company, launched as a cryptocurrency-oriented firm, still mines roughly two dozen bitcoins per month.
