Telus Reveals Leadership Changes as ‘First Step’ of Business ‘Transformation’

July 27, 2026 by Knowlton Thomas 1 Comment

Since 2022, the value of shares in Telus are down by more than half, even amid broader market rallies.

To help buck the trend, the venerable Vancouver telecom titan has unveiled changes to its executive leadership.

This includes David Fuller rejoining as Executive Vice President and Group President of Telus Communications, while Navin Arora will assume the role of EVP and Group President for Global Platform Businesses, with oversight of Telus Health, Telus Agriculture & Consumer Goods, and Telus Digital Solutions.

The changes arrive as a “first step in a transformation of the company’s core telecom business to drive sustainable growth,” according to a statement from the company.

The telecom industry “is evolving rapidly,” explains Telus chief executive officer Victor Dodig, who took over the role this month—and his company has formulated a strategy in response.

“As Telus strengthens its financial foundation, sharpens operational focus, and drives profitable growth, these changes to our organizational structure and leadership ensure we are set up to deliver on that strategic plan,” Dodig stated.

“We are positioning Telus to lead through that change by improving how we serve our customers, streamlining decision-making, and better positioning our organization to achieve its financial and operational objectives and deliver greater value to our shareholders,” the CEO continued. “This reorganization is the first step in a transformation to meet that challenge.”

Fuller, according to Dodig, is “one of the most talented and experienced telecom executives in Canada.”

“I have no doubt he will engage and focus our team across business and consumer solutions,” Dodig said of Fuller, who worked at Telus from 2004 through 2019.

Zainul Mawji, Executive Vice President of Telus Consumer Solutions, will transition from the company in September after two decades of contributions.

“Zainul’s leadership of the Mobility and Home Solutions business generated accomplishments across many critical programs for Telus,” commented Dodig. “I want to thank Zainul for her numerous contributions to our organization for more than two decades.”

Telus has been helping equip remote and rural regions of British Columbia with high-speed internet while also advancing AI data centres in the province.
