Crime, Climate, Cost: EstateBlock Shines Light on More Data for Homebuyers

August 6, 2026 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

A real estate agent based out of Vancouver has launched a listings platform that shows more data than the rest.

“Real estate sites all show the same thing,” laments Dan Marusin—a set of photos and some basic listing information.

But there’s a bunch more valuable data available that is typically under-utilized, according to Marusin, who works for Renanza Realty.

Marusin’s website, EstateBlock, bucks the trend by revealing a wealth of information relevant to potential homebuyers.

For example, listings on EstateBlock will inform buyers how close a home is to potential noise disturbances such as an airport, highway, or SkyTrain line.

The platform also shows local crime rates and demographic information including employment rates and owner-occupied levels in the area.

In addition, EstateBlock highlights potential climate risks such as air quality as well as an area’s likelihood of flooding, fire, or drought.

The platform even uses AI technology to predict how long a listing will be up for before it sells based on pricing, competition, and other considered factors.

The enhanced listings can save buyers time and money by providing more data upfront.

Marusin notes that all of this information is provided for free with no login or email capture required.
