Global Summit AI Vancouver is returning this fall with a two-day program focused on how artificial intelligence is being built, deployed and governed in the real world.
Taking place November 2 and 3 at the UBC AMS Nest, Global Summit AI Vancouver 2026 Fall is expected to welcome more than 800 enterprise leaders, AI practitioners, founders, investors, researchers and policymakers.
The summit will feature a Main Stage, Technology and Research Stage, practical workshops, an exhibition, structured networking and a Startup Pitch Competition.
Rather than centring the program on product promotion, organizers are positioning the event around candid, content-driven conversations about the decisions, challenges and trade-offs involved in implementing AI.
Sessions will explore enterprise adoption, agentic AI, computing infrastructure, governance, public trust and applications across healthcare, business, public services and the creative industries.
Technical discussions will dig into areas including AI agents, tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, production guardrails and deploying systems at scale. Sessions are structured as focused 40-minute conversations, allowing speakers to move beyond surface-level observations and examine their work in greater depth.
Twenty speakers have already been confirmed, spanning major technology companies, Canadian research institutions, investment firms and the broader innovation ecosystem.
Diana Fox Carney, a researcher, policy advocate and business adviser, will deliver special opening remarks.
The technology lineup includes AMD Senior Vice President and Chief Software Officer Andrej Zdravkovic; former Microsoft Copilot Studio CTO and M365 Copilot Cowork founder Bas Brekelmans; Google DeepMind research scientist Mani Malek; Databricks Vice President of Engineering Zaheera Valani; NVIDIA senior deep learning scientist Bilal Kartal; and Meta senior data scientist Xiaonan Liu.
They will be joined by technical leaders from several of the companies shaping the current generation of AI, including Anthropic’s Jonah Dueck, Cohere’s Homam Malkawi and Cisco’s Abhishek Kumar.
Canadian voices on the program include Canada CIFAR AI Chair and UBC computer science professor Kevin Leyton-Brown, CGI Vice President of AI Research Diane Gutiw, Prenuvo Vice President of AI and Research Sam Hashemi, mimik CEO Fay Arjomandi and DIGITAL Global Innovation Cluster AI portfolio lead Artyom Mamzhiev.
The investment and entrepreneurship community will be represented by Audaxa Ventures co-founder Hilary Kilgour, Alumni Ventures Managing Partner Ray Wu, AI House co-founder Jacob Colker, Empowered Startups President Christopher Lennon and DataSpeckle founder Bülent Uyanıker.
On the second day, 12 startups will take the stage for the summit’s Startup Pitch Competition.
Selected companies will pitch live to investors, industry leaders and members of the summit community, with access to feedback, exposure, investor connections and potential partnerships. The competition includes an investment opportunity of up to $800,000.
Any summit attendee can apply for the competition after purchasing a ticket.
With speakers drawn from frontier AI companies, enterprises, universities and investment organizations, Global Summit AI Vancouver aims to connect the technical realities of AI with the business and policy decisions influencing its adoption.
