Hot on the heels of winning the Company of the Year – Scale Success award at yesterday’s BC TECH Awards, Vancouver’s Trulioo has announced an addition to their senior leadership team.
Leigh Ramsden will be joining the company later this month as Chief Financial Officer.
Ramsden brings more than 20 years of financial analysis and progressive leadership experience to Trulioo and will succeed Anne Lawlor, who will be retiring after serving the company for more than eight years.
In his new role, Ramsden will lead all aspects of Trulioo’s finance function, including accounting, financial reporting and analysis, financial operations, capital planning, tax, treasury, and investor relations.
“Leigh’s expertise in building out financial technology infrastructure and optimizing financial performance will help guide us on a continual growth trajectory,” said Steve Munford, President and CEO of Trulioo.
Previously, Ramsden served as Absolute Software’s Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance, where he successfully led the development of Absolute’s financial planning and analysis function and financial technology infrastructure. He also recently participated in a successful US$69 million public equity raise and cross-listing to Nasdaq for the company.
“I can’t imagine a more exciting time to join Trulioo,” said Ramsden. “I’m thrilled to be part of the company’s mission to accelerate financial inclusion through verifiable digital identities for the entire global population. I look forward to working with Steve and the leadership team to drive strategic growth initiatives, profitability, and enhanced value for Trulioo shareholders.”
The announcement punctuates a strong year for Trulioo. The company was recently named one of Canada’s Top 400 Growing Companies and it was also included in CB Insights Fintech 250 (a list of the fastest growing fintech startups in 2020). Trulioo was also ranked 27 on CNBC Disruptor 50 (for the second time) and was recognized by The World Economic Forum as a 2020 Technology Pioneer.
