The pandemic has made employees more aware of that their most precious resource is time – and employers in British Columbia are responding with innovative programs and workplace models that help employees make the most of their time.
The best of these initiatives were recognized today as this year’s BC’s Top Employers was announced by Mediacorp, organizers of the annual Canada’s Top 100 Employers project.
Among the tech companies recognized in BC are Alida, Amazon, Clio, Copperleaf, GeoComply, iQmetrix, Kabam Games, MacroHealth, Plenty of Fish, and TELUS.
Amazon was named one of BC’s Top Employers for the third consecutive year. Amazon currently has more than 10,000 full-and part-time employees in British Columbia, with 3,500 at its Vancouver Tech Hub and 6,500 across its local Operations network, which includes four fulfilment centres, six delivery stations, and a sortation centre.
“For somebody who loves to build, invent and be part of a high-performance team that delivers exceptional products and services to customers, Amazon is an exciting place to work,” said Jesse Dougherty, Amazon VP.
“If you have a good idea, you are empowered to make it happen. As we continue to invest in creating good jobs in BC, it is a tremendous honour to be recognized as one of the province’s best employers.”
MacroHealth‘s inclusion is an exciting validator for a company that has been actively recruiting top tech talent into their innovative and cultivating team.
“We’re thrilled that MacroHealth has been awarded as one of BC’s Top Employers,” said Toufic Boubez, CTO & CPO of MacroHealth.
“BC’s Top Employer award is a strong validation that together at MacroHealth, what we’re building is something that top tech talent wants to be a part of. That only makes us stronger as a team and as a company.”
This news comes as MacroHealth’s corporate culture is making headlines for its inclusive, empowering, cultivating environment.
