Infinitii AI Strikes National Deal with Core & Main to Deploy Smart City Water Tech

December 20, 2022 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

The Vector Institute recently released a report highlighting 20 Canadian AI startup companies to watch over the next 12 months.

While only two companies from British Columbia made the grade—Victoria’s Certn and Vancouver’s Klue—we know of many other innovative firms leveraging artificial intelligence in BC.

One example is the recently rebranded infinitii ai, whose multi-product predictive analytics software portfolio is focused on Machine Learning capabilities.

The Vancouver-based firm this week announced a national distribution agreement for its “flowworks” predictive analytics software with Core & Main Inc.

Based in St. Louis, Mo., Core & Main is a specialized distributor of water, wastewater, storm drainage, treatment plant, and geo-synthetics products.

“Core & Main’s Core+ solutions are leading edge, high-value digital platforms for Smart Cities,” believes the chief executive officer of infinitii, Jean Charles Phaneuf. “We’re honoured to be an integral part of them.”

Core & Main is a national player in the water and wastewater industry in the U.S., operating over 300 branches nationwide, “making them an extraordinary strategic partner for us,” according to Phaneuf.

“Our national metering team has been actively engaged with infinitii ai over the past 14 months and we’re pleased to have chosen infinitii ai’s flowworks software for our Core+ wastewater solutions,” added Brad Cowles, president of Core & Main.

Smart City water and wastewater infrastructure customers rely on time-series data, says infiniti. Flowworks breaks down barriers between data from disparate vendors, accepts data from any source, and utilizes machine learning algorithms to perform predictive and preventative maintenance analysis, check flow monitoring status, and set alarms through a single interface.

“As we assembled our Core+ tools, we determined that flowworks offers the solution we need for this project,” stated Wes Whitley, senior director of National Sales for Core & Main.

According to Whitley, data neutrality provided by flowworks “gives a required level of comfort to our other technology and manufacturing partners that allows us to truly innovate with their technologies versus being locked in or locked out from utilizing strategically important data.”

Formerly Carl Data Solutions Inc., infinitii ai was founded in Vancouver in 2014.

Technology pioneered in BC is also innovating other aspects of smart city living, from AI minimizing food waste to adding intelligence throughout the home, including our windows, for new levels of energy efficiency.
