UniUni Launches Modernized Logistics Platform to ‘Supercharge’ Shipping for Small Businesses

July 11, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

Richmond’s UniUni recently announced the launch of UniUni Small Business, a new system of local drop-off and service points designed to “simplify and supercharge” shipping for Canadian e-commerce merchants.

The platform promises an end-to-end shipping experience that’s fast, affordable, and easy, featuring both staffed UniUni Stores, where users can print labels and drop off packages, and automated UniUni Points for anytime drop-off.

“Too many small businesses get held back by outdated shipping options,” says Amir Khataie, Vice President of Process Engineering and Network Planning at UniUni.

“All sellers deserve a reliable, modern solution that grows with them,” Khataie said. “This offering is about giving them control, flexibility, and the confidence to compete nationally.”

Initially, UniUni Small Business is launching in Toronto with intentions to expand to more cities across Canada in the future.

UniUni is a member of the BC Tech Association.

“Small businesses are the backbone of Canada’s economy, and UniUni believes they deserve the same speed and flexibility as big corporations,” stated Jax Zheng, Director of Strategic Partnerships at UniUni.

“UniUni Small Business makes it easy for companies to compete and grow on their own terms, knowing we’ll be their partner through it all,” Zheng continued.

The launch arrives shortly after UniUni unveiled fundraising to the tune of US$70 million.

It marked the B.C. company’s third round of financing in a single year; Building on prior rounds in 2024, UniUni has now raised a total of more than US$200M.

Founded in 2019, UniUni’s mission is to make “the last mile the best mile” by leveraging scalable technology such as AI-driven routing, predictive analytics, and robotic sorting systems to deliver speed and reliability at scale.

Last year, UniUni was fourth on Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50 list with revenue growth of 12,854% between 2020 and 2023.

Last month, UniUni was recognized as “Last Mile Company of the Year” by SupplyTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization.
